Dinosaurs Unearthed! - Part 2

Then, we turned the corner!

There were very many dinosaurs that moved a lot like this one.  We had so much fun pushing the buttons and making them move and roar and sometimes they scared us a little!  If you listen closely, you can hear Aiden ROARING at the dinosaurs.

All of the dinosaurs really grabbed out attention from the very large to the smaller ones!

We were a little worried about this T-Rex, but Daddy kept us safe.

On our way out the door, Aiden started to warm up to the dinos and try to talk to them.  We are going to miss these dinosaurs.

It's a good thing that Mommy and Daddy let us make 'Buddy' and 'Tank' to take home with us!

Dinosaurs Unearthed! - Part 1

Mom and Dad didn't think we'd make it out of the entryway after we found this screen to look at swimming dinosaurs.

Eventually, we made it down the stairs to see how big some dinosaurs were. Can you belive that I barely come up to the triceratops mouth?!?!?

Before going in to see the dinosaurs, we learned a little bit about fossils and the footprints of dinosaurs. It was fun to dig them up.

Fire Trucks

While getting our dinosaur tickets, look what I found! This little museum wasn't open today, but that sure didn't stop me from peeking in the windows!

Pool

We did a lot of running around tonight, so it was too late to venture outside to the pool, so we hoped into the tub and threw in some crayola bath colors and had a great time....

that is until Mommy got hit with this glass full of water.

Hallmark Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope is part of Hallmark. They let kids come in and make lots of different crafts with scrap from their factory. They have lots of different things to play with paper, ribbons, stickers, puzzle pieces, and so much more. I decorated this crown with water colors. I also enjoyed talking with this little girl.

Daddy and Parker made a few crafts together as well.

Before we left, I had to show dad this table that would show the image of what you are pressing into it, above. What a great place to run around. I was very sad and melted down when we had to leave. Luckily, the visitors center was open next door, and I got to press a button to make a machine make a little bow for me. That was great!

Naptime

We came back to our hotel room after lunch for a little nap. As soon as we both woke up, we were ready to start running and playing again!

This is the view of Union Station from our hotel room with a close-up of the T-Rex in front.

Science City - Part 3

They had one big train set up that we could push different buttons and make lights inthe city turn on, or make different machines do different things. This was my favorite area, because it had a John Deere digger. I am just sure that I am going to get this for Christmas!

Parker had a great time playing with the wind tunnel. He liked that he could turn it on by pushing a button and he could open the door while it was blowing.

Parker also enjoyed watching this mini wind tunnel. You could throw scarves into it and watch them go up and down. Eventually, they would come out the top.

Parker might have enjoyed all that wind, but I enjoyed the little dino section. Look at this 'fossil' I uncovered!

Science City - Part 2 Kinder-Lab

Science City has a special spot just for us little tots to run and play. There were lots of things we could play with and it was pretty much enclosed, so Mom and Dad enjoyed that too!  We played here for almost an hour.

We tried to build many towers with these big blocks. Both of us were able to add blocks to the stack when it was over our heads. We are expert builders!

There were also some teacher lead activities. As it was a pretty slow morning, they let Aiden do whatever he wanted. He played with this play-dough for a long time. He really enjoyed making spaghetti with a garlic press!

Science City - Part 1 Music

We went to Science City this morning and had a lot of fun. When we first walked in, there was a section on different ways to make music. Aiden and I figured that out right away!

I sure had a great time making music and trying to play what Daddy was playing!

Aiden seemed a bit scared of this dinosaur. I'm not sure why, it only roared at you if you got too close to it.

Union Station

Look at this tree! It has a holiday train that goes around the base that is fun to chase.

We both loves trains. Daddy has had to pick us both up to check out the trains that are a little higher up.

We checked this out last night, but came back this morning for Science City. We love Union Station because we can run in a lot of the wide open spaces!

Swimming Pool

We enjoyed some time in the outdoor swimming pool at our hotel.  We didn't stay out there more than 30 minutes or so, before we were all cold. Then, we decided to jump in our 'pool' back in our hotel room. I'm not sure how we all fit, but we had fun!

Today we went over to Union Station to check it out. We were thrilled to look at all of the model trains. We'll go back there tomorrow and take some pictures. We also ate dinner at a train restaurant where our food was brought to us by a model train above out heads. It was so much fun to watch, that we barely even ate our food! We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

On the Vacation Road

Mommy's driving, Daddy's relaxing vacation style, I'm chillin', and Aiden's navigating us to Kansas City, MO. Vacation has started! We're actually still on the road (Daddy says it's vacation so we can use the cell phone for internet!).

Bubbles!

We have some mad bubble popping skills and very different techniques!

Hat

I love hats!

Reading

Picking out books

and reading have become enjoyable to me.

Aiden even sits and reads with me.

Here is a video of me reading Goodnight Moon, one of my favorite books!

Tuckered Out

What a day! I didn't take a nap and so I fell asleep watching Frosty with Uncle Mike. Mommy carried me to bed, and I didn't wake up at all!

Christmas Cookies

I found the mixer to make some cookie dough!

Mommy and Emily helped us cut out the shapes and roll the dough flat.

Grandma Jo helped Aiden decorate.

I just decorated one cookie over and over again and then ate all of the decorations off of it. It was delicious!

Broadston Christmas

This year's gang - Aunt Mindy wasn't able to make it back.

I instantly starting eating the candy in my stocking without even asking for help unwrapping it. I'm getting big enough to do it by myself.

Parker didn't quite know what to do with the presents. This one looked like a good place to sit.

Although, after Daddy opened this present, he found a much better place to sit. This chair was Great Grandpa Lawrence's chair when he was a baby. Grandma Jo had it all fixed up to look brand new for Daddy!

Aunt Mindy sent a Curious George that skateboards around the house.  I'm pretty sure it was for me, but I think Parker might have claimed it.
