Sweet Potatoes

Today, I am trying sweet potatoes.  I like them!

Learning to Read

Preschool

Look who is big enough to go to preschool now!  We had to wear our Superman shirt and an Iowa State jacket.  We forgot the sunglasses and almost had a melt down, but luckily three fire trucks drove past us with lights and sirens on our way to preschool!

I had a great time making this craft with lots of water and different colored fish.  We read One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish and played lots of games.  I had a GREAT time!  I can't wait to go back next week!

We had a nice picnic lunch in the car and then had some time left over to play at the park before Aiden needed to head to preschool.  I can't wait for next Tuesday for us to do it all again!

6 month WCE

I had my 6 month Well Check Exam today.  I weighed in at 19 lbs 8 oz. (83 percentile), head circumference 17 1/2 inches (80 percentile), and length 28 inches (94 percentile).  I am a BIG boy!  My infant car seat is only good for babies up to 29 inches, so Mom better start thinking about switching me to a convertible car seat pretty soon!  The doctor also told Mommy that I can start eating food 3 times a day instead of 2.  Yea! I love food!

It's hard to see, but I am getting my knees underneath me and getting my belly off the ground! 

I LOVE being outside on the blanket on in the grass!


I am doing such a good job of sitting, although the slight slope in our yard helps a little as well!

Playdate

Parker liked doing his own thing this morning and playing by himself.

Zoe and Aiden had a great time coloring the puppet theater.

The ball popper became a HUGE hit.

I saw Logan on the floor and thought I should check him out.  Then, I decided that perhaps I should try getting up on my hands and knees.  It won't be too long before I have this figured out!

All of this activity sure made me tired!

Ready for Bed

Neighbor

We started out this afternoon playing with Taylor.  She is in 2nd grade and lives right behind our house.  She tried to teach us how to play volleyball since we were seperated by a fence.

After dinner, she came over and tried to teach Parker how to swing.

 
She also taught us how to play freeze tag.  If you were frozen, you had to stand still until someone went under your legs to unfreeze you.  This generally resulted in a pile up, but we had so much fun!

6 months old

Can you believe that I'm 6 months old already?!?!?!  I also have 1 tooth that popped through this morning.  It won't be too long before I'm eating at the dinner table with my brothers!

Baby Cereal

Baby Elmo Emery William thought perhaps he should have some oatmeal just like the real Emery William.  For some reason, Mom didn't agree and we are posting this from time out!

Splashing

I really like splashing in the bathtub!

Pears

Yep, I like pears!

Playdate with the Hutchinson's

Since we are both on spring break, Zoe and I made some delicious food in her kitchen.

I was excited when I got to wear the pink chefs hat and apron!

Zoe did a great job of holding Emery and didn't even mind that he pulled some of her hair out.  She just laughed and put it back on top of her head!  What a great morning for playing!

Fruit Loop Art

 
It's raining outside, so we can't go out to play.  Instead, we pulled out a box of fruit loops and some school glue and made some pretty pictures.  Do you like our rainbows???

Newspaper

 
The newspaper stopped by today and took these photos of me.  I sure enjoy playing with all of the boys in my preschool class!

Superheros

Who says we can't dress up as superheros and go outside?

Here we are driving the bat mobile.

Our side kick had to stay inside today, but pretty soon he'll be helping us fight the bad guys!

Dressed

Mommy told me I had to wear jean shorts and a short sleeve shirt today because it's going to be 80 degrees; she never told me I couldn't wear snowman socks!

Park

Parker even let Owen's Daddy push him on the swings.  Yea!

I had a great time chewing on this pacifier until I threw it on the ground.  Can't wait until I am big enough to run and play with everyone!

Stroll

Aiden is at swimming lessons, so Mommy took us for a stroll!

 
Here's my view of the stroll.  Mommy let me play with the camera for a long time and got many pictures of Emery and our blanket.


We made it home, Emery had so much fun he fell asleep!

Bananas

 
Yum!  Mommy gave me some bananas for my first food besides cereal.  Yum!
