The weather was perfect tonight to hit a park after dinner!

This park has a story written around a pond if you stop and read each one.  The boys really enjoyed taking turns reading in their "scary" voices for this Halloween book.

Team Playday

 

 

Daddy learned about a charity event to help the Children's Miracle Network, just by playing a full day of games.  That seemed right up our alley, and the day is finally here for us to participate in Extra Life!  We invited lots of friends to come play games at our house.

 

 

We even played the Oregon Trail...2 of us died of Dysentary and 2 of us died from a snake bite!

However, Daddy seems to be pretty pleased that at least he made it all of the way to Oregon, even if his family didn't!

In case you are wondering, here is the list of games that we played.  we started around 9AM and made it past midnight!  Thanks to every one who joined us or donated to us.  We had so much fun and raised some money for charity.  Certainly it was a win-win day!

Swimming Birthday Party

This year for Aiden's birthday, we decided to rent the pool out and invite lots of families to come swimming with us!  It was so much fun and everyone wants to do it again!

 

  

 

Afterwards, we headed home and let Aiden open his presents.

This year he had an ice cream cake, yum!

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Emery's class went to the Pumpkin Patch for their field trip.  Emery found the perfect pumpkin!

He could carry it to the wagon.

Glad to have Mom along for the trip!

The class got to feed the goats, but Emery wanted nothing to do with that!

Reiman Gardens, Hickory Park, and Boone Scenic Valley Railroad

 

This morning, we headed to Reiman Gardens to meet up with Grandma and Great Grandma to celebrate our fall birthdays.

Reiman Gardens has started a major renovation project.  Can't wait to see what happens at the hillside garden.  The plans look amazing!

It wouldn't be a birthday celebration without heading to Hickory Park!

After lunch, we headed to Boone to ride the train!

The fall leaves were just starting to change and gave us some very beautiful sights.

We also spent some time entertaining Great Grandma and teaching her about Pokemon!

Leah Playdate

Leah came to Des Moines with her Mom on a business trip to have a play date with Aunt Erin.  You can never be too safe eating lunch at my house!

 

These two had a great time playing before Emery had to head to school.

After we dropped Emery off at school, we headed to Parker's school to join him for recess.

 

Leah had a great time playing with him as well!

After recess, we decided that we should head to another park and play around.

 

We had an awesome afternoon together!  I glad she wanted to come spend some time with me.
