Team Playday

 

 

Daddy learned about a charity event to help the Children's Miracle Network, just by playing a full day of games.  That seemed right up our alley, and the day is finally here for us to participate in Extra Life!  We invited lots of friends to come play games at our house.

 

 

We even played the Oregon Trail...2 of us died of Dysentary and 2 of us died from a snake bite!

However, Daddy seems to be pretty pleased that at least he made it all of the way to Oregon, even if his family didn't!

In case you are wondering, here is the list of games that we played.  we started around 9AM and made it past midnight!  Thanks to every one who joined us or donated to us.  We had so much fun and raised some money for charity.  Certainly it was a win-win day!

Library Fun

 

 

The Quandt's were at the library with us after school today.  We had a ton of fun playing around...who says that libraries are quiet places?

Swimming Birthday Party

This year for Aiden's birthday, we decided to rent the pool out and invite lots of families to come swimming with us!  It was so much fun and everyone wants to do it again!

 

  

 

Afterwards, we headed home and let Aiden open his presents.

This year he had an ice cream cake, yum!

Water Fight

End of the summer water fight.  Do we have enough water balloons?

After the water fight, we headed over to the Quandts house for lunch.  We are not ready for school to start tomorrow....

Oh My, Oh My, Oh Butterfly!

We headed up to Reiman Gardens this morning to show Carter around!

Cam and the Iowa State Fair

Mom headed to the fair with some friends.  Of course, they saw the butter cow.

Mostly, they were there to watch Cam!

The BFG

The boys were promised that we'd go to see the BFG in the movie theater....we looked it up this morning and realized that today was the last day it was in theaters, so we headed to the movie theater. 

Parker was thrilled, because Sylvie from his class was also at the movie theater with her Grandma!

Last Day of Swimming Lessons

 

We had a great time taking swimming lessons with the Quandts (and not pictured, the Gerstenbergers)!

We decided to go out for some Chinese food to celebrate completing swimming lessons!

And...well....I couldn't say no to Frozen yogurt, either!

Lake Elmo

We walked to a park in the neighborhood and found a Ga Ga ball pit.  We had no idea what it was, so we googled it and started playing.  We had a ton of fun!

We also got to play in their new pool!  The whole thing isn't quite ready, but we made do...
