Trumpet

Mom's favorite game as a child is quickly becoming Aiden's favorite game to play with Grandma Jo!  Since it is no longer being produced, it's a good thing that Grandma Jo had an extra copy of Trumpet to share with us.

Quietly Reading

When Mommy woke up this morning, it was quiet. She was surprised that we were all asleep. Well, that is until she found me curled up in this chair reading a book.

Walker Johnston Park - Urbandale

With school being out, we decided to hit the park with Zoe and Logan.

This park has lots of different places to play.  We even enjoy checking out the skateboarding park.

Zoe and Logan decided it was just as much fun!  Of course, Emery had to do his own thing!
Climbing at the fort park.

Classic rope bridge.

We had a couple of children get stuck in the spider's web.

Climbing on the house!

Group shot!
Zoe and Logan left, and then Henry, Liam, and Lydia showed up.   Of course, Mom had to snuggle with Henry!
The digger and skid steer came and were working on getting this slide ready for action.  Emery thought that was WAY cooler than the park itself!   We can't wait to come back sometime when the slide is ready for us!

School's Out

It's been a fantastic school year and we were certainly spoiled with the best teachers.  Parker has had Ms. Rachel for two years now.  She has really helped him come out of his shell and become a very confident little boy ready to head off to school in the fall.  We will miss Ms. Rachel and certainly hope that Emery will get her in 2 years when he is ready for preschool.

We were a little uneasy at the beginning of the year hearing that we were getting a new to our school district teacher, but quickly found out that she was a Central graduate and knew Allison.  Ms. Zook was a fabulous teacher for Aiden.  She knew what he needed to be pushed to do more at and when to let him have some quiet reading time in the back of the class.  Aiden is finishing Kindergarten reading somewhere between a third and fourth grade level.  He loves to read and can quickly spout of answers to math questions.  He's made many new friends both in his classroom and in his TAG class.  Parker really hopes to get her in the fall.

Preschool Graduation

Parker's Classroom

All ready to graduate from preschool!

For their program, they showed us lots of songs that they liked to do and books they liked to act out.  They really like to dance with scarves and of course they love anything that is from the movie Frozen!

He did it!

We walked to the park to play with our friends.  Cole and I walked hand in hand the whole way there!

They Merry-Go-Round was the biggest hit.  Mommy helped push us a lot, but got very tired, so we had to take over!

Park

After a long car ride home from Minnesota, Mom and Dad decided to stop and get ice cream and some park time in at Polk City.
We are always big fans of the slide.

However, today, we had this race we played.  We probably raced up and down this slide for a good 10 minutes straight!
Of course, we also played on the swings as well!

Out for a Stroll

Taking Audrey's baby out for a stroll.  I wanted to make sure she had enough books to read while we walked, so I just piled them right on top!

Dinosaurs!

Dinosaurs at the Minnesota Science Center.  Our friends, the Schneider family, invited us to go with them to see the dinosaurs.

Yea...we aren't afraid of this guy...

3 future Paleontologists trying to figure out this bone puzzle.

Emery liked this stegosaurus! We had a great time exploring.  It's too bad we don't live closer to this place!

Kindergarten Graduation

Aiden's class reciting a poem.  They did lots of songs with 3 of the other kindergarten classes.  Momma might have teared up a little when they announced the class of 2026!

Aiden sitting at his current desk with his binder.

Apparently, Kindergarten Graduation is TOO much for a 2 year old!

Mommy's Helpers

Mommy needed to hang flyers around for her CACTUS summer camp. We were such good helpers that she bought us lunch at Jersey Guys!
