Almost Summer

I can't wait for summer.  Today, I asked for my summer hair cut!

Cast Day

Aiden was so excited about getting his cast, that he asked Dad to put up a sign near his alarm clock to remind him first thing in the morning!

He picked light blue for his first cast.

I think the shark is trying to bite his arm!  Instead of showing off his cast at school, this boy decided that he wanted a day at home with Mom.  How could I say no to that?

Candy

I've got the coolest Aunt and Uncle EVER!!!!!  This present certainly brightened up my day and for a split second, made me forget about my broken arm!

Not Slowing Down

Even with an arm in a splint, you can't slow boys down....

Como Zoo, Teddy Bear Park, and Broken Arm

 

This weekend, we drove to the Schneider's house along with the Hutchinson's to have a fun family friendly weekend with friends.  This morning we checked out the Como Zoo for the first time.  We had a great time and even ran into some friends that Mom and Dad knew from Rochester.  We enjoyed the Zebra and the baby giraffe.

All the kiddos (plus Daddy, since Emery was really tired at this point!)  After this we had a nice picnic lunch just outside the gates of the Como Zoo.

After lunch, we headed to Teddy Bear Park.  Aiden wanted to show everyone how cool this place was.  This picture was taken about 5 minutes before he fell off the zip line.

  

First Emergency Room visit for this kiddo.  It was obviously broken.  We were very thankful that Kate was on call and was able to stop by and check in on us.

They tried a few methods to get his bones aligned and he was quite the trouper as he barely took any pain medicine.

  However, they ended up needing to call in Ortho and knocking him out to set it with an x-ray machine right in our ER room.  (Can't wait for this bill to come....)

Meanwhile, everyone else headed out for dinner and back to the Schneider's for some game time.
