Last Day of 3 Year-Old-Preschool

Emery is going out of 3-year-old preschool in style!  He loves school and is friends with everyone.  He'll miss school this summer, but I'm sure he'll have a great time wrestling with his brothers!

Playing with Fire

We invited the Quandts to come over and play with us for the day.  We spent a lot of time outside playing tackle football and soccer.  We also played games inside!

Just when we started to get the fire pit going, it decided to start raining.

That didn't stop us!

S'mores for everyone!

Cousin Time

Today, we got to spend some time showing Holden, Leah and Cade around Jester Park.  We had a great time checking out the bison, elk, and hiking.  It's too bad our favorite ice cream place was closed.

Celebrating some May birthdays!

Sydney and Olivia!

umm...trying to watch Lawrence playing soccer.

This worked a little better.

The boys at the Waukon City Park.

Emery driving the golf cart - oh my!

Aiden will do anything, including sitting in a cool bathtub with clothes on, if you promise him a cupcake of his choice!

Bonfire!

Tether ball!

Exhausted boys!  They love playing hard with their cousins, but they are always crashing when we get in the van to drive home.

Last School Lunch of the Year

We ate our last school lunch of this year with Aiden yesterday.  We also went to recess with Aiden.

Today, we ate our last school lunch of the year with Parker.  These are his friends Dawson, Kelson, Parker, and Nolan.

They are kind-of ready for school to be out.

Parker and his friends created a new version of 4 square, called 2 square.  It's like 4 square, but you are in the game longer until you were out.  His friends were playing VERY nicely with Emery and even made sure that Emery got a few of them out before he was out.  He had a great time at recess today with Parker.

Aiden is in kid pitch baseball this year and this is the first time he's been the pitcher!

Here's a still shot of him getting ready to pitch!

3 Year-Old-Preschool Program

This will be the last time for me to come to a preschool program with Mrs. Rachel.  Her mom has terminal cancer and today is her last day.  She is taking time off to be with her mom and will be moving back home and has taken a job in a different school district.  It's a bittersweet day for us.

The program started with "I'm a Little Teapot"

Next up, "The Beanie Bag Dance"

My favorite song is "The Washing Machine"  You might need to listen to it a few times to understand what they are saying.  Such a cute song!

Every Thursday, Ms. Rachel did Yoga with the class.  Emery can do most of the poses quite well and loves to practice them at home.

They closed the program with Skitter-A-Sinky-Dinky-Do!

Emery with Ms. Rachel.  We will miss Ms. Rachel tremendously next year.

For such a great program, I took Emery out for lunch.  He really wanted chocolate milk and cheese balls!

Happy Birthday, Parker

After this morning in Ames, Parker wanted to play some baseball for his birthday.  We had quite the time with everyone pitching and hitting and catching!  We did learn that Daddy might be the best pitcher among us!

Birthday milkshakes for dessert!

Reiman Gardens

For Parker's birthday, he wanted to check out the Lego display at Reiman Garden.  We invited Great Grandma Gertrude and Grandma Jo.

This flower and bee are huge and gorgeous.

Climbing all over the new wooden structure.

We even found the Chamber of Secrets!

Emery just perched up here.

A couple 4 generation photos!

Tree climbing again....

Camouflage

We had a great morning!

The last Lego we found was this corn spider in the children's barn.

Of course, we can't celebrate a birthday without Hickory Park!
