Ready to go!  We are heading to Papa and GG's house for a whole week!  We can't wait to get up there!

VBS Sunday

Zoe's Birthday Party

 
Zoe had a lull in her birthday festivities, so she invited the boys over for another party.  The boys had a great time stringing beads to make braclets.

After dinner we went outside for a pool party.

We also ran in the sprinkler.

They have a new playset.

We treated the sprinkler more like a shower.

While we were playing in the water, the adults were putting together their new basketball hoop.

He also blocked a few shots.

Zoe thought it was nice to rock with Emery.  We hope you had a great birthday, Zoe!  We had a great time celebrating with you.

We are such little monkeys, we like playing on the under-side of the play equipment!

Happy 5th Anniversary to the Cooks!

While John and Lisa are out celebrating their anniversary, we are watching all of the kids.  They had a great time playing outside and then we turned on The Empire Strikes Back.

Baseball

Warming up with grounders.  Parker is so proud of being able to play baseball!  Ms. Rachel, his preschool teacher, came to watch him play.  We also found out that he'll have Ms. Rachel in the fall as well!

Sneaking Food

We have been sneaking food out of the pantry for the last 4 days and this is what we opened.  10 cans of coke, 2 cans pineapple juice, 3 cans of pineapple, 2 opened cans of maple syrup and 1 unopened with a glass to pour the maple syrup into, a couple applesauce packets, and a large jar of peanut butter.  Our punishment?  We had to clean up the whole mess and now we have to have peanut butter sandwiches and vegetables for every meal from now until the jar is empty.  Mom is hoping that will teach us not to be sneaking food in the basement.

Johnston Green Days Parade

Looks like we might get a little rain at today's parade, so I have my umbrella ready.

Emery was entranced by the police car that led the parade.


Emery REALLY liked the police car with the siren.

He also got the 'candy' wave down.

 
Have you been wondering where Aiden and Parker are?  Look no further!  They are in the parade with Allison to support Des Moines Pediatric Dentistry.  They had a great time and did a great job of walking the whole parade route.  Emery also brought home enough candy for everyone and some to spare.

Margo Frankel Woods State Park

We met up this morning with at least 12 of our friends.  We were the only ones at Margo Frankel Woods State Park and we had a great time.

Aiden and Parker both liked the little zip line while Gail was helping them across.

First Lost Tooth

I woke up this morning and I had lost a tooth, well, actually, I'm pretty sure I ate it!  I hope the tooth fairy will accept a picture and a letter explaining what happened!

Aiden had the chance to dive into the deep end for the first time, and he didn't bat an eyelash.  He was so excited!

Aiden does make for a good first baseman.  The boys really enjoy baseball!
