Cast Day 2

Thrilled to be getting this cast off today!

Cutting it off was fun.

Boy, is that a lot straighter than it was 4 weeks ago!

This boy sweet talked an Iowa grad into making him an Iowa State cast.  He's thrilled that it's below his elbow!

Early Riser

This boy is an earlier riser, but most mornings he lets everyone know he is awake. This morning, I found him quietly reading to himself.

Rhubarb Bars

This boy will do ANYTHING for a rhubarb bar.

Piano Lessons

Parker is coming along with his piano skills.

Parker shares a birthday with his piano teacher, so they played Happy Birthday to both of them!

We pass these very friendly horses everyday when we walk home from school.

School Lunch

 

This is the last week that Emery and I could join Aiden and Parker for lunch, so we took advantage of it.  Emery enjoyed eating 2 lunches!

I volunteered at Reading Rocks tonight, so this boy came along.  I think he had a great time.  I think he waited an hour for this face painting!

Pancake Breakfast

 

This morning we made it to the Fireman's Pancake Breakfast.  Grimes really knows how to have a great time while having a good meal.  Firefighters Parker and Aiden reporting for duty!

Perhaps Emery shouldn't be the driver.....

 

Yep, that's a picture of us and the helicopter we are in!  Life Flight even came to Grimes!

Of course, we all took turns on the fire hose!
