Kate Shelley Second Grade Field Trip

Today, I get to spend the day with the second grade class learning all about Kate Shelley.

Kim did a great job of keeping them occupied before getting on the train.

We also got to walk out on the trail to see where the bridge use to be.  It's very over grown and hard to capture in pictures.  It was a long bridge that Kate Shelley crossed that night.

Somebody was very happy to have his mom along for the field trip.

I tried to get a picture of Aiden and his friends and slowly more and more classmates got into the photo!

Grimes Sports Complex Park

Hanging out with the Quandts at the Sports Complex park today.

Yep, we can semi-piggy back ride on the play equipment.

Hunter asked me to record him walking on the handrails.  I'm including it in this post, as it's kind of fun to listen to their play (and all of that Pokemon jargon that fills there thoughts).

We headed over to the basketball courts.  Emery didn't mind wearing Hayden's purple helmut and riding her purple tricycle.

Costco Singing

We've picked up a song or two from Wednesday night church, and we sing them as loud as we can in the middle of Costco.  Hopefully, this kid will do as he sings......

It's a very Pokemon birthday, but this kid is in heaven!

Happy Birthday, Emery - Ames Style!

 

For Emery's birthday, we headed up to Ames for our normal family celebration.  We also thought that Emery might like to check out the trains that are set up in the conservatory.

 

I have to admit, they are way cooler than I even thought they would be.

Soccer Game

Parker ready for the start of the match.

You get to see both boys playing some soccer in this video.  Parker is #6 and Aiden is #99 and the sweeper (goalie).  For awhile, it seems that Aiden and Parker can be on the same team every other year.  It's fun to watch them play together.

Emery is learning how to draw people at preschool.  He drew this lovely picture of Mommy.  Can you see the resemblance?

Pick Up Soccer Match

 

After walking most of the way home from school today, we stopped and played soccer with the Quandts and the Campbells.  All of the kids had a great time playing together.

Lunch Date

Emery wanted to join his brothers for lunch today.  He did a great job of sitting still for one lunch.

 

However, he gets a little silly for the second lunch.

Piggy Back Races

 

Hunter and Holden are slightly bigger than my "big" kids.  Today, they decided to see if they could give Aiden and Parker piggy back rides.

 

Of course, that turns into piggy back races and contests to see who can carry somebody the furthest.  It helps that Aiden and Parker weigh almost the same amount!

Locker

Today is the last day to walk Emery into preschool. Today, I had to

leave him sitting at his locker. He's ready to conquer the world!
