You can see all of Salzburg from the Fortress with this panoramic photo. The earliest parts of this fortress was built in 1077.. It is the largest, fully-preserved fortress in central Europe, according to the Salzburg tourist webpage.

This room has been destroyed several times, but in 1994 they discovered these "ruins" that are from the early 12th century.

This mechanical organ was built in 1502. It was played everyday at 4 AM to signal tot he towns people to get up and it would be played again at 7 PM to tell them to go to bed.

Well, we can tell we have been on vacation for a long time, we're slowing down, so we thought we'd take the sights in with a horse drawn ride. Our guide didn't speak much English, so I'm not even sure what everything is that I took pictures. Bear with me!

To get to the parking garage, we had to drive down this road. In the middle of the day, it become pedestrians only. In the picture on the right, you can see posts out of the ground. Those sink into the ground when cars can drive through here, and then come up when they can't. Once again, cars can go anywhere they fit, this just makes it so they can't fit during certain pa
