South Dakota...err...Wyoming - Day 4

Brandon decided that these red bluffs were far enough west to say we drove out West! Lots of beautiful scenic views!

Prairie Dog City!  The kids loved watching them!

Devils Tower - even cooler than we thought it would be!

Some parts were quite steep and all we did was walk AROUND it!

The boys!
The view towards the tower.

The view away from the tower!  Daddy about freaked when Mommy let us stand this close to the edge!

A shot without the kiddos!

June is a month that they voluntarily ask climbers not to climb Devil's Tower, but we still saw three groups of climbers.  They are like little specks on the side of it.  It really showed us just how big this thing is!

Aiden climbing rocks.

The Three Amigos!

They are stronger than 100 men!

Parker climbing.

Of course, we had to get a picture of Emery climbing as well!  This was worth the drive over into Wyoming.

When we got back to Rapid City we had a little bit of time before super, so we headed back to Reptile Garden's.  This is a cottonmouth snake and is one of the snakes they showed us during the snake show.  This one was really cool because it was trying to slither across the top of the cage.

Skeleton, maybe fossilized, of a Giant Sea Turtle!

Burmese python.  They told us in the show that sometimes they feed this whole pigs!

The alligator/crocodile show was great.  They were plenty hungry and put on a good show.

Emery

The boys!

A good reason to not feed the crocodiles!

We finished up the night with a Chuck Wagon Dinner at Fort Hays.  Parker really liked the cake!

The show was great.  Perhaps a little on the cheesy side, but the music was fabulous.  I've never heard a fiddler so awesome before in my life!  What a great day!
