Cub Scout Nature Hike

Aiden's den went for a nature hike to work on a hiking belt loop.  We got to see the elk at Jester Park.

 

We walked the Hickory trail and learned a lot about being in the great outdoors.

The boys even worked on leaf rubbings.

Spring Break Walk

We miss our normal walks to school while we are on spring break, so we decided to get out!

Pirate Park

 

We met up with the Hutchinsons at this pirate park.  We even had fun walking the plank!

The slides were great!

We even rode on a huge serpent!

 

We had lots of fun running from place to place pretending to be real pirates!

Spring Break

For our first day of spring break, we headed out to Jester Park to throw rocks.

Parker found the perfect rock.

 
We didn't realize that we'd be heading out in shorts and the lake would be covered in ice!  It was an amazing temperature drop as we got close to the lake.

When we arrived, the ice wasn't moving, but as you can see, they must have opened up the dam.  It was a lot of fun to watch the ice move and break a part.

Lunch Surprise

 

Emery and Mommy surprised both of us and ate lunch with us today.

They even went to Parker's recess.  Although, Emery was starting to get awfully tired.

Conferences

Walking Home From School

Today is the first day that Mom has let us leave school grounds by ourselves.  We walked all the way to the community center.

 

We even got to celebrate by playing at the park for awhile before walking all the way home!

Goodbye, Great Grandpa Fegley

Today, we are saying goodbye to Great Grandpa Fegley.  He died on February 18th at the age of 92.  We miss him very much.

There were lots of tears and also lots of laughter today, and even a game or two of Schafkopf!  We are very thankful for the time that we were able to spend with him.

IPTV Go See It

This month, the cub scouts needed to check out a tv station or newspaper. We went to IPTV and saw Dan Wardell up on stage. It was great!

Library

When we are at the library, the first thing we want to do is go straight

to the kids computers to play games.
