Day 4 of park week - Jester Park with the Hutchinson's.
I can read these words! We played alot at the park and also played some Red Light, Green Light.
After the park, we headed out to check out the buffalo and Elk.
This is the closest we could get to an elk. We did see a live elk laying down in the field on our way out of the park.
The bison were very close and a lot of fun for us to watch.
As if that wasn't enough, there was also a naturescape playground. It was a really big garden with lots of fun things we could play on and with.
The water was the most fun for all of us!
Parker had his school open house tonight. It took a few minutes, but he really settled down and found himself at home. He really likes his teacher, Ms. Rachel. He is also excited because Aiden's room is just through 1 door. He is hoping to see him some while he is at preschool!
We got to the park a little bit before Owen, so we decided to swing. Emery REALLY wanted to join us!
The Three Amigos!
There are several different places to play at Walker Johnston Park.
For snacks, we shared clementines, applesauce and chocolate bunny crackers. We were HUNGRY!
Emery got to enjoy the grass a little bit.
We also walked around the pound. Can you see the turtle and the frog?
It was a lot of fun trying to scare the frogs and watching them jump back into the water.
Eddy walked us all the way around the pond so we could watch the frogs jump in the water as we walked past. What a great (but hot) morning at the park!
We met up with the Welch's at the MN Zoo. We had no idea that the MN
Zoo had a dolphin show. How exciting! We had a great time watching
their dolphins do all sorts of tricks.
Emery thought he needed to check Gerad out.
Some of the walking took a little longer when the monorail went by.
The real reason for the zoo trip, was to see the dinosaurs!
They look very realistic with all of the fog they had set up.
Perhaps a little too realistic. Parker was quite afraid of them.
T-rex was certainly one of our favorites.
Perhaps, it was higher rated than G.
We ended with the sea otters. They were so much fun to watch swim all over the place.
Look at this AWESOME park in Sillwater! It is the BEST park we have ever been to!
Joe helped us paddle our row boat.
As soon as we were off a slide, we immediately ran for another place to run!
We LOVED the spiderweb.
Family Picture
Picture with Joe and Kate.
We really enjoyed looking at the fish in this little pond.
Daddy got a little nervous with us walking up these stairs with Joe. He joined us to make sure no one fell all the way down. By the way, what you see, is only about a third of the total stairs to the top.
We had a little time after lunch, to enjoy the watching all the boats out on the water.
After lunch, we headed out on a trolley tour. The kids enjoyed it, well..mostly slept through it while the adults enjoyed learning about this logging community.
Best view in Stillwater. This view can be scene by taking the trolley tour or going up all the steps. Mommy thought the trolley tour was a much more relaxing way to see the town.
