Cub Scout Crossover Ceremony

Tonight is the cross over ceremony for cub scouts.  This is Parker crossing over from Tiger to Wolf!

This is Aiden crossing over from Wolf to Bear!

It gets a little crazy with these kids, but it's ALWAYS fun!

Parker's den was almost all in attendance tonight.

 

After the cross over ceremony, our pack had a couple of flags to decommission.  It was very interesting to be a part of a flag burning ceremony.

Walk for JDRF

Aiden has a friend, Logan, in his class that was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes last summer.  This year, he invited his whole class to walk with him at the JDRF walk.  Hunter and Holden needed a ride, so Brandon and I walked with 5 kiddos!

As you can see, it was a slightly cold morning, but there were lots of cool things going on.  This is Crash, the mascot for the Iowa Wild hockey team.

Also, the Isiserettes were a great show and very loud!  The kids were thrilled with the dancing AND the drum line.  I think they are convinced to stay in piano for a lot longer so they can be percussionists!

Aiden's teacher, Mrs. Sorenson, along with their high school helpers, Ms. Abbey and Mr. Logan walked with Logan's large team!

Birthday Lunch

Birthday Party

Parker chose to have his friend birthday party at sky zone.  The boys stayed on the dodge ball court for the majority of the jump time.

The kids are a mix of Parker's friends from school and family friends.  It worked our nice and everyone had someone to play with. 

 

Parker wanted a Pangora (Panda Pokemon) themed cake.  There was no way I was going to be able to make it, but mini figures came to the rescue!

It got quite crazy around present opening.  Parker had such a great birthday party with friends!

Coach Pitch Baseball

 

Parker is in a coach pitch league this year and it's so much fun to see how much they have progressed since last year.  They are actually starting to make a few plays!

Baby Dedication

  

Baby Cade was dedicated this morning in church, so we headed over to celebrate with him.  (Somehow we missed a photo with Holden in it as well!)  You might say that my boys are quite smitten by him!

Grimes Fireman's Breakfast

We rolled out of bed kind of late today after a late night of Reading Rocks last night.  We did talk Dad into letting us leave all of our hair paint in.

We love to get balloon swords after we've had pancakes.

  

We all had a turn spraying the fire hose.

LifeFlight was there so we could check out an ambulance in the form of a helicopter!

Reading Rocks

Mommy helped the PTO plan this awesome Reading Rocks program.  Perhaps we had a little TOO much fun!

With Emery in preschool and weather doing what it does, we have not walked to school as much as I would have liked this year.  Today, I remembered just how much I like this view and all of the noise that comes along with it.  I will miss these days walking home from school with friends next year with Aiden and Emery being at a different building.

Today, we joined Aiden for lunch.  He asked his friend Bodee to join us.

Pizza Party

I am home from Austin, but Brandon is not yet.  Today after school, we played with our friends and it ended up turning into a play date and a dinner date.  What a great evening!

Austin City Limits - Nashville Live!

We really like the show Austin City Limits (when we can find it on PBS) and we thought we'd check out the concert venue.  While we are here, we chose Nashville in Concert.  These are some of the musicians/actors from the show Nashville.  

 

 

They played several songs from the show as well as several songs of their own.  Brandon doesn't watch the show (I do) and he enjoy very much.  It was a lot of fun being in this very prestigious venue for a concert.
