Jester Park

We met up with Isaiah and his sister at Jester Park.

We had a little bit of time to ride the Elk.

We love playing at the Nature Playscape - lots of fun things to play on.

Of course, there is always the water to play with as well!

Although, if you get to wet, you end up loosing your shirt.

Old Shirt

I'm so proud to be wearing a shirt that was Daddy's when he was little.  Turns out, this shirt is older than that!  This shirt was originally Noel and Chad Rathbun, Daddy's cousins, shirt circa 1981 (ish).  Thanks for saving it GG!

Red Park

We met up with the Hutchinson's today at the 'red park'.

Aiden created a game where everyone came down the slide and then raced to get back to the top.  He mastered climbing up this ladder to make sure he beat everyone back to the top.

I loved someone bouncing with me....

until I found that I could bounce myself!

I also loved the slides.

Aiden and Zoe were selling shoes from the window.

Look at me!  I can climb this all by myself!

2013 Iowa State Fair

First thing we did at the fair this year was to check out all the baby and mommy animals.  Then we checked out the Lumber Jack show.  We really enjoyed the show.

Of course we had to check out the model trains.

We also saw the snakes, but then we took some time to climb trees.

We loved climbing on all the tractors!

Mommy is a little worried about me turning 16.

Daddy took us big boys down the big slide.

Mommy took Emery down.  What a great day at the fair.  We can't wait for next year's fair!

Waterville - Day 2

A typical day at Papa and GG's house includes some well behaved time playing on the Kindle Fire.

We make sure to spend some time petting Luke while we are playing outside.

We ALWAYS get an ice cream cone (or two)!

All the blueberries a kid could want.  No wonder we always want to go back!

Happy Birthday, Lowell and Lawrence!

Look, not even 2 and I'm already driving!

The tire swing works great.  Even Mom got on it!

Lowell and Lawrence love their birthday cake.

So did Emery!

We had to finish the day off with a nice bath,

and of course, some Kindle Fire time!

Library Party

Today is the end of the summer library party.  We had a lot of fun winning prizes and decorating our prize bags.

Emery took a nap!

Pointe Vista Park and Providence Pointe Park

All set to play at Pointe Vista Park in Johnston.

Emery loved all the different places to explore.

He did have a little help reaching the high things.

Aiden has really mastered monkey bars, these are more like parallel bars and he was still able to make it across.

We are all done playing at Pointe Vista Park, but we don't seem to be done playing at parks.

Gail and Mommy decided to take us over to Providence Pointe Park.

We loved all the climbing.

Emery loved the chimes, drums and slides!

Logan and I love these spinning chairs.

Yep, I can still stand up.  Please don't ask me to walk a straight line!

Emery tries to do everything we do and he is getting pretty good at doing almost everything we can do.

Look at me, I can climb ropes.

Look at this slide Aiden went down!  We need to have more play dates with the Hutchinson's!

Shucking Corn

We love corn on the cob so much that we'll even shuck it so we can have it for dinner!

Minneapolis Segway Tour

We left this kiddos at home with Grandma Jo for a weekend with Joe and Kate (and Audrey)!  We took the Magical History Tour of Minneapolis.  It was a side of Minneapolis that we had never seen down on the river front.  We went across the Stone Arch Bridge and had a perfect view of the lock and dam.  We even got to see a person in a small boat use the lock and dam as well as a barge.

The Stone Arch Bridge is in the background.

We spent some time at this old burnt down mill.  It was very interesting.

What a great trip.  We're looking for a babysitter again next summer to take the more scenic segway tour!
