Rule Follower

This kid loves to look at the rules for games and set them up exactly like the pictures when they give him different scenarios.  I think we are creating another gaming monster!

First Day of Preschool

The time has finally come for this guy to have his first day of 3-year-old preschool.  He's very excited.

He told me that he could cross his fingers whistle now that he is in preschool at the big school.

He's very excited that his friend Hayden will be in the class room across the hall.

Doesn't he look all grown up walking out of school all by himself!

I surprised him with a lunch date for a great first day.

Fall Fegley Birthday Bash

Today, we are celebrating Great Grandma's 94th birthday, Allison, Aiden, Holden, and Emery's birthdays.

What could possibly be so interesting that these three are staring at the ground.  They are trying to identify animal scat!

And it wouldn't be a Fegley get together without Uncle Mike and Mom climbing and cutting down some dead limbs from Grandma Jo's trees. 

Meals from the Heartland

 

Emery helped me greet people for Meals from the Heartland this morning.  He did a great job "waiting" around.  We even got to greet Daddy and his co-workers coming in to volunteer.

Tonight, Aiden and Parker are helping me volunteer for Meals from the Heartland, while.....

Emery is out having cookies and hot chocolate at the book store!

I've got some great volunteers to help combat hunger.

Hanging Around

Emery likes walking the big boys to school and then stopping at the park to play on our way home.

Cold Lunch

Parker and Aiden took cold lunches to school today, Emery wanted to have one as well.

Backbone State Park

Time to head home for school to start tomorrow.  Mom and Dad decided to let us run at Backbone State Park.

 

We had a great time hiking and exploring.

 

It was great to get out of the van and run around.  the paths were well marked with a lot of roots. 

We'll have to come back and hike around another day!

Rathbun Wedding

  

Yep, you guessed it, we are at a Rathbun wedding.....Congrats, Brittny!

The boys loved the grassy area behind the reception hall.

Back to School Night

There was mass chaos at the big boys school, so we didn't get pictures of them with their teachers.  However, at Emery's school, it was much quieter.  He was very excited to meet Ms. Rachel.  She was Parker's 3 and 4 year old preschool teacher.  We are very excited to have her again this year.

Ankeny Park Hopping

We met up with Zoe and Logan to tour the Ankeny parks this morning.
