I might be little but I think big

Farmer Aiden

Look at how grown-up I look. Mommy and Daddy think I look like a farmer. I was walking around sticking out my big belly wearing my over-alls. I'm getting very quick. I even try running at times. I am still a very happy baby. I really like to laugh, especially when I start to get tired.

slumber party

We jumped into our jammies waiting for Daddy to come home and join us. We are going to have a slumber party watching the opening ceremonies of the olympics tonight! Bandit is just hoping that I leave him alone tonight.

PJ's

I wanted to show Grandma that the Pj's she got me for Christmas finally fit! I really like wearing them because they are soft and cozy with the feet attached!

Give me more blueberries or else.....

Aiden really likes his bluberries. He can eat them by the cup full. He gets a little angry when the supply runs low!

Bucket head

So I love to play with my drum with the top taken off. I put a ball in it and try to get to out with my mouth. I also love to hear my voice echo as I talk into it. It keeps me entertained for quite awhile.

Help moving

I spent Thursdayhelping my Great-Aunt Lori packing up her mother's house as she is moving into assisted living. I was a great distraction for everyone. I also really enjoyed playing in the boxes. Since we were in Pella for the day, we went to the bakery. Mommy even let me have some of her sugar cookie with LOTS of frosting on it. It was yummy!

My new best friend

Zoe came over to play with me while Gail helped my Mommy work on making cards. I sure had fun trying to swing here in the bassinet. Thanks for taking this picture of me Gail. I can't wait to play with Zoe again!

First Bruiser

It's kind-of hard to tell in a picture, but I got my first black eye. I was climbing on a sub woofer and fell and got my head stuck behind Daddy's night stand and the wall. My right eye is quite swollen and purple. It won't slow me down though!

I like watching Mom work!

My Mom works so hard! It's fun watching her out in the sun mowing. You can't tell, but I had to use a stool to see Mom (Dad helped).

So I found this big round black thing that my Dad left on the floor. I'm not sure what it's for, but I love sitting in it!

Walking!

We are counting 19 July (9 months 2 days) as the first time I really walked. Here is a video of me today at home walking across the room to get the TV remote. I'm getting quicker and more stable every day. Pretty soon I'll be too quick for Daddy to catch me on video!

Party at Daren and Cheri's

We went up to Daren and Cheri's place this weekend for their fourth of July party. I had a lot of fun playing in the freezeing cold swimming pool. This picture is with Caleb and Laura. I also liked playing with the big soccer ball. It was just my size! Mommy and Daddy say I'm officially walking now. I took a good 15 steps to get to an outlet at Daren and Cheri's house. Sometime I'll walk in front of the camera and get a video up on the website.

9 months old!

I had my 9 month well-check doctors appointment this morning. Meeting the doctor and all the nurses while trying to show them how I can take a few steps REALLY wore me out today. I weighed in at 19.5 pounds (40th percentile) and 28 inches tall (50th percentile). However, my Mommy keeps telling me I have a big head. I guess the doctor confirmed that today. My head measured 18.25 inches around (80th percentile). Grandma says I have to have a big head to hold my very smart brain!

I haven't had pictures of me sleeping in awhile, so I thought I'd show you what I looked like after my doctor's appointment. This is my favorite sleeping position. I really stick my butt high in the air and cross my legs. Mommy doesn't care because I am still sleeping pretty good.

I sure had a lot more fun swimming once I got Daddy out of the pool!

Baby proofing the house

I LOVE getting into the abinets now that I have figured out how to open them up. I was very upset in the last picture when I woke up from my nap to find that Daddy had baby proofed the cabinets! At least he left me one cabinet that I can play in all I want.

Aiden's Firsts

We have had a lot of firsts, that I guess Mommy has been bad about letting everyone know. I took my first 4 steps on the 5th of July to get to my Uncle Mike. I'm still taking only a few steps here and there, but I get a little more daring every day. As I get more tired, I forget that I should be scared to try taking steps, and that's when I take the most. I'm getting more and more stable every day. I'm sure Mommy will get a good video of me running before too long.

Also, we are counting today as my first tooth. It's still very small, but it clinks when I try to drink out of a glass. I don't really like to show it off yet, so instead, I'm putting up a video of the newest sound I love to make. I really like to walk around at night and sound like a motor boat. I hope you enjoy it as much as Mommy and Daddy do!

An English Breakfast

Since my cousin Allison, who spent a semester in England, is staying with us this week, we thought it only appropriate to have scones for breakfast. I can't believe they let me try eating a blueberry scone on my own! I sure liked it!
