Conversations with a Preschooler

Before preschool....
Mommy: Aiden, what starts with the letter A that you want to take to preschool this afternoon?
Aiden: An anteater
Mommy: But we don't have an anteater, perhaps we can find something that we have.
Aiden: Maybe we could go to the forest and catch an anteater so I could take it to preschool.
Mommy: Umm...I'm pretty sure that we don't have any anteaters around here, and I'm not sure that they even live in forests. Perhaps we could find your airplane to take with you.
Aiden: Okay

After preschool...
Mommy:  Aiden, while you were at preschool, I looked up some information about anteaters.
Aiden:  Really, where do they live?
Mommy:  Not around here, but they live in rain forests
Aiden:  See, I told you they lived in the forest.  I was right!

Cracker Jacks

We love singing, 'Take Me Out To The Ball Game', but we had no idea what Cracker Jacks were until tonight. Thank you Aunt Lori for getting us some Cracker Jacks. We sure enjoyed them on our evening stroll tonight!

Playgroup

 What a great morning to be playing outside with some friends.  We even played fairly nicely together on the swing set.


Do you see what we are all looking at?  It's a 'tiger' butterfly!

Girl

Mommy! Mommy! I look like a girl!

Preschool

Aiden started preschool today. Mom moved him into the 4 and 5 year old room which also means that he was moved to the afternoon. There are only 6 in his class, which also means there is plenty of time for us to play on the lion without sharing!

Since preschool is in the afternoon, we have plenty of time to play at the park. These girls aren't in school with Aiden, but we had a great time playing with them. Here we are pretending to watch a Diego movie!

Labor Day Picnic

Daddy thought it would be great to head to Big Creek for his day off and have a picnic. We played lots with discs and a soccer ball.

We also just ran a whole lot!

I stayed very hydrated which meant I had to hide behind many trees!

Painting

Since we already need a bath from playing out in the flower pots, Mom thought it would be a great time for us to paint a little. We love to paint and the bath that follows!

Planting

In between rain showers today, we diced to replace the flowers in Mom's planters out front with some gorgeous mums. Grandma Jo helped us.

We had a great time pulling out the old flowers.

We also had a great time digging in the dirt. We had to make a lot of room for the new flowers.

Aquarium

Who needs an aquarium when we can spend hours watching the Mom, Dad, and baby toad outside our Egress window!

Pump It Up

We had a great time running around at Pump It Up this morning with Zoe and her Grandma.  I bet she took a great nap when she got home too!


Of course, we also hit the big slide.


One ball bounced out of the bouncy house, no worries, I got it!

 Parker does an exceptional job keeping up with me. That's my foot at the top of the climbing wall, but Parker was close behind and made it to the top all by himself!

Reading

Look at us sit and look through Richard Scarry's Cars and Trucks and Things That Go.  There are so many funny things to look at!

Happy 90th Birthday, Great Grandma Fegley

We had a great afternoon at Grandma Jo's house today to celebrate Great Grandma Fegley's 90th birthday. What a milestone. We even helped her blow out her candles!


The 3 amigos, soon to be 4! We just love playing with Holden, and he is becoming so much more active and now he even enjoys trying to keep up with us. We can't wait until he starts walking!

Uncle Mike was very nice and let me play with one of his old remote control cars. I think I need a few of these for my birthday!

We didn't want to say goodbye, but we couldn't help but give each other hugs before Holden had to go home.

I also enjoyed getting up on Grandma Jo's tractor. I'm pretty sure I could mow the lawn for her if she'd let me!

Dentist

Well, this was my second trip to the dentist. I was very excited about sitting in the big purple chairs while Aiden was getting his teeth cleaned.  Once it was my turn, it was another story! However, I did much better than I did last time, so perhaps in another 6 months, we will be sitting in the big purple chair instead of on mom's lap!

Bacon

Mommy and Daddy hardly ever get bacon for us to eat. I guess that in the summer time when there are rip tomatoes to make some BLT's they are a little more willing to let us have bacon for dinner. I love it so much that I eat it 2 pieces at a time!

Nap Time

Here's another instance when Mom put me in timeout, but should have put me to bed. I really liked that our beds were pushed together today; it helped me keep the sunlight out of my eyes!

Joe and Kate's house

After nap time, we quickly snuggled in with Joe to read an I spy book.

We also headed to the park to play for awhile.

This is the exact moment that I decided that Kate was pretty darn cool. She raced me home. I'm sure I won!

Swimming Pool

We stopped today in Rochester to see some of Mommy and Daddy's friends.  Our hotel had an awesome swimming pool that was just perfect for us.  Sachie brought some fun toys for us to play with.  I sure enjoyed the water gun!

 Everyone enjoyed the lion slide.  We hope we find another pool this cool very soon!

Sleeping

This is the most peaceful we look during a day.
