Baby proofing the house

I LOVE getting into the abinets now that I have figured out how to open them up. I was very upset in the last picture when I woke up from my nap to find that Daddy had baby proofed the cabinets! At least he left me one cabinet that I can play in all I want.

Aiden's Firsts

We have had a lot of firsts, that I guess Mommy has been bad about letting everyone know. I took my first 4 steps on the 5th of July to get to my Uncle Mike. I'm still taking only a few steps here and there, but I get a little more daring every day. As I get more tired, I forget that I should be scared to try taking steps, and that's when I take the most. I'm getting more and more stable every day. I'm sure Mommy will get a good video of me running before too long.

Also, we are counting today as my first tooth. It's still very small, but it clinks when I try to drink out of a glass. I don't really like to show it off yet, so instead, I'm putting up a video of the newest sound I love to make. I really like to walk around at night and sound like a motor boat. I hope you enjoy it as much as Mommy and Daddy do!

An English Breakfast

Since my cousin Allison, who spent a semester in England, is staying with us this week, we thought it only appropriate to have scones for breakfast. I can't believe they let me try eating a blueberry scone on my own! I sure liked it!

Swimming Pool!

Check out my first time in the swimming pool. I loved it. Emily and Michael played with me. I hope next time Emily gets in the pool with me! It worked out really great because everyone else was able to eat dinner and watch me play in the pool. I can't wait for some more nice warm days to get back out into the pool! We had Joe, Chris, Gail, and Zoe over for dinner. It was a lot of fun. I really liked the baby. She is only 2 weeks old. It's hard to believe that I was ever that small!

Messy Food

Well, everyone knows that I LOVE food. I also LOVE to smear it all over my face and into my eyes. I sure do get messy, but that is most of the fun!

Disc Golf

I went on my first disc golf outing where I could actually play with the discs a little bit. I got a little confused about what was suppose to actually go in the basket......

Cat food

My favorite thing is trying to get to Bandits cat food. For some reason, I will do anything to get to it. This time, since it was blocked off from the normal direction to get to it, I went all of the way around the table and past the blinds and chair to get to it. There is no stopping me.

8 months old

Can you believe that I am 8 months old today? I'm getting SO BIG!

Allison came and visited me yesterday. She even played in the grass with me. As you can see, I really like to eat the grass. Thanks for visiting me Allison. I hope that you will be living close to me soon so I can see you more often!

Happy Father's Day

Since we stayed over night in Maquoketa, I got to spend Father's day with Daddy, Grandpa, and that's Great Grandpa Flap Jack in the background.

Joel and Kathilene's wedding

Well, Joel and Kathilene got married this weekend. Here is a picture of the happy couple at the rehearsal dinner.












Here is a picture of Ben holding me. He was my buddy this weekend. I can't wait until his little girl is born. Ben has already told me that I will have to show her the ropes at Iowa State as I will be there a year before her. Don't worry Ben, I got her covered!

This is me during the actual ceremony. I still fit into my tux, however I was hot so I was much happier after the ceremony when Grandpa and Grandma changed me into some much cooler clothes. Thanks Grandpa for playing with me during the ceremony!

We ended up staying an extra day in Maquoketa as the flooding closed all of our roads to get home. What a trip! I was so glad when we finally made it home. I had so much fun crawling around and chasing Bandit.

Iowa State wedding singers????

Well, it was quite apparent at the rehearsal dinner that this was going to be an ISU wedding when several members of the wedding party broke out into The Bells of Iowa State.

Stair Climbing

So, I guess there was some disbelief that I could indeed crawl up stairs, so here's the proof. I kept thinking that Mommy was going to stop me, but she didn't. She just told me to wait until Wednesday when the gate for the bottom of the stairs arrive!

Oranges - YUMMY

I LOVE oranges! They might be messy, but I really like oranges! It's a good thing that I also LOVE the bathtub!

Smoking crochet hooks?

I sure like playing with Mommy's crochet hooks. Mommy told me that I could keep playing with them, as long as I didn't start smoking them.

Joe is back in town

I'm feeling a little under the weather today. I had a temp of 100 degrees this afternoon. We were going to go out to eat with Joe, but since I wasn't feeling so well, Joe brought pizza over. That was nice, so I could just stay home and be held. I even let Joe hold me for awhile. Hopefully I will be feeling better tomorrow. Good night!
